My life is over!

So Jacob has started testing the limits these days. He loves to play in the dog food and water. We are trying to teach him the word "No No", but he seems to think it is a game. He is soon to be one, so I thought I would try a little 30 second time out with him. So I put him in the corner. He acted as if his life was over! He cried and put his head on the floor as if he could just not go on. But, he stayed in time out for 30 seconds! I had to take a picture. He is so cute, even when he is throwing a fit. (Well, sometimes)

Thanksgiving Point

We had intended to go to the zoo on Saturday, but chore after chore needed to be done and we didn't make it. We ended up taking the boys to Thanksgiving Point's petting zoo. We had a blast. The weather was perfect and there way no one there. We got to feed the goats, the boys went on some pony rides, and we walked around enjoying being together. Jacob FREAKED out when we helped him pet the goats! He did not like it at all. We kept working at it, and he finally decided to would reach his hand out all by himself to pet one. Right as he got close enough to touch, the goat sneezed and shook his head. That scared Jacob so bad, he was done! He would not touch it, get close to it, and didn't even want to look at it any more. Jeremy and I were a little surprised at this reaction, but we couldn't help but laugh. It was pretty funny to watch.

We were able to go down and spend some time with my Grandma this last week. We ate at one of Grandpa's favorite Mexican places, we played some shuffle-board, cards, and just enjoyed each others company. When I was little, we started calling my Grandpa and Grandma "Big Grandpa" and "Big Grandma" because they are so tall. The name just stuck and to this day we sill call them that. Grandpa and Grandma had one of the best relationships I've ever seen. After 60 years, they still acted like newlyweds sometimes! They have been the perfect Grandparents. I can walk into their house and be instantly comforted. There has always been such a loving peaceful feeling there. Thank you Grandpa and Grandma, for being such great examples to us grandchildren. We love you both so very much. Grandpa, you will be missed very much. We take comfort knowing we will be reunited again one day.

Back to school

Jaxon started school today. I didn't realize it was going to be so hard for me to let him go back without me this year. Even though I'll be there all the time, I'm not going to be "with him". I decided to draw a little heart in the palm of his hand and I gave it a kiss. I told him if he ever started to miss me, he could look at the heart and know that I love him! I drew a heart on my hand as well and had him kiss it. I told him when I was sad and missed him, I would look at my hand and know he loves me. Jaxon had a great first day! He learned that peanuts make people sick and they die! (I guess there is someone in his class with a sever peanut allergy.) He said he started to get sad but then looked at his hand and was all better. Who knew?! Jaxon, we sure love you and look forward to all the many years of back to school to come!

Jacobs First Haircut

I have been wanting to let Jacob's hair grow out, but it has just looked so messy, and even when I tried to comb it, it would stand straight up in just one spot. We finally decided to get it cut. He was so good and didn't even cry! He looks just like Jaxon. We can't believe how much alike they look. He is such a cute little guy. We love you Jacob!

Cute Boys

The nights have started to really cool off now, so I pulled out some warm jammies for the boys. I had to snap a couple pictures because they are just so dang cute!
I have been sewing up some dolls for a church service project, and it's given me the itch to learn how to sew. I took Jaxon with me to the store, picked out a simple pattern, let Jaxon pick the fabric, and ended up making him and Jacob a Halloween trick-or-treating bag. I think they turned out pretty good for not knowing what the heck I was doing!

Spice

We have mice in our garage. I thought it would be a good idea to get a cat, to help with this little problem. Usually when I get crazy ideas, Jeremy helps give me a reality check, and I am able to think clearly again. For some reason he didn't argue with this idea, so we now have a cat. Well, let me rephrase this. We have a kitten. A teeny tiny kitten that is probably 5 weeks old. She's too little to catch anything yet, but Jaxon has fallen in love with her. Her name is Spice. We now have a dog named Punkin, and a cat named Spice! The dog and cat actually get along rather well, which was a surprise to us all. Jaxon has been taking such good care of his little kitty. He sings it to sleep practically all day long. He carries her everywhere. She is a pretty good sport and just goes along with it.

Weekend Project

Some friends gave Jeremy and I an old bed, so we thought it would be fun to sand it down and paint it. We had to do all the work in our garage because it was so windy outside. Everything in our garage is now covered in sawdust, primer, and red paint. By the time we were finished we had red paint everywhere as well. We sure had a blast getting it done though!

Jacob's nurse came today. At her last visit she told us we would probably have to have physical therapy come in to work with Jacob if he was not sitting on his own by our visit today. We are happy to report Jacob is sitting on his own, army crawling around, trying to pull himself up on furniture, and just as healthy and happy as can be. We are so blessed that he is doing so well! The nurse left us with very positive feedback, and so impressed with his progress! Can't wait until next month. We sure love you our little Buggie!

Swim Lessons

Jaxon finished up his swim lessons yesterday. He had a blast doing them. He loved his teacher! She was great with all the children. It was so nice because the lessons were in her backyard in a private pool, so she was able to give each child attention, and there were not a bunch of distractions. We are already looking forward to next years lessons.

Congrats Josh

Congrats to my brother Josh! He graduated his paramedic program a couple weeks ago. Jeremy and I were able to go with the boys. We are so happy for him. He has worked so hard.

T-Ball

Tonight Jaxon had his first T-Ball practice. He had so much fun. We had a great time watching too. Jeremy was able to get a couple hours off work so we could all be there to watch. They are all so cute runnin around out there trying to hit, throw and catch the ball. We are looking for ward to his games starting this weekend!

Messy Boy

Jacob absolutely loves food! He eats all the time. He is loving trying new things. We found out he loves potatoes and french toast! Well, ok, he loves pretty much anything we give him. We have not tried anything yet that he does not like. He is such a happy baby. We sure love our little buggie!

So Cal Trip

We were all able to go down to Southern Cali this last week. We were able to visit my Grandpa and Grandma Bergon, go to Sea World, visit my Grandma Bench and Uncle Jim and Aunt Kimm. It was a very busy few days, but we had a blast. The weather was beautiful! It was so warm and sunny! Sea World was not crowded at all. We went on a Thursday, and there was hardly anyone there. We went to see the Shamu show, and Jaxon cried and cried until it started because he heard people talking about sitting in the "splash zone". He finally relaxed once the show got started. We really had a great time. Here are some fun pic's of our trip.
Thank you to all the family that let us crash at your house! We love spending time with all of you, and we are so happy we were able to do it!
